Andrew F. Reardon
Andrew F. Reardon retired from the practice of law and from Reardon & Chasar on January 1, 2012 and now serves as a business consultant to the firm. He practiced in the area of general business and contract law with emphasis on manufacturing, transportation, labor law, leasing, financing and the purchase and sale of assets and businesses.
Prior to resuming the practice of law in 2009, Andy served as Chairman and CEO of TTX Company in Chicago. TTX is the largest railcar leasing company in North America. Previously, he served as Vice President-Law for TTX, Sr. Vice President-Law for Illinois Central Corporation and Assistant Vice President-Law for Burlington Northern and Senior Tax Counsel for Union Pacific Corporation in New York. Prior to joining the transportation industry in 1977, Andy practiced tax law with Thompson & Mitchell (now Thompson Coburn) in St. Louis. He has practiced in Ohio and several states as well as in numerous federal courts, including The United States Tax Court and The US Claims Court. He has testified on numerous occasions before the Transportation and Commerce Committee of the United States Senate and the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee of the US House of Representatives.
Andy is a 1967 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, a 1974 graduate of The University of Cincinnati College of Law and in 1975, received his LLM in Taxation from Washington University in St. Louis. He served as an officer in The United States Navy for nearly five years including a tour as an engineering officer aboard the aircraft carrier Wasp (CVS 18).
